For as long as we remain in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation (aka Confession) will only be available by appointment – and will be celebrated outdoors with both parties wearing a mask. At present it is unwise to use the confessional for the sacrament because it is a confined space and minimal ventilation. To schedule the sacrament, contact Fr. Trask at 440.707.6770 x3.
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, commonly referred to as Confession, is available on Wednesday from 5:30-6:15PM; it is available at other times by appointment. To schedule an appointment for Confession, kindly call our pastor at 440.707.6770 x3. Our pastor, Fr. Trask, is also regularly available for confession at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (410 W. Lorain St. – Oberlin) on Sunday mornings following the 10:30 Mass*. During the seasons of Advent and Lent, there is always an opportunity to share in a Communal Penance Service; St. Patrick Parish always hosts the Lenten service and Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Oberlin) always hosts the Advent Service. Advent 2020: TBA at 1PM at Sacred Heart
Lent 2021: Date TBA at 1PM at St. Patrick Church *PLEASE NOTE: When there is no evening Mass on Wednesday at St. Pat’s, the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation will also not be available that evening. (CLICK HERE, and scroll to the bottom of the page, to see what days there will be no evening confessions or Mass) At Sacred Heart, confessions following the Sunday 10:30AM Mass will go for as long as there is a line.
